When I went to my first sleep away Girl Scout camp in like third grade my mom gave me a little piece of cloth that she sprayed with her perfume in case I missed her while I was gone

This is a big downside for fragheads... if my daughter gets a piece of cloth with Mum's perfume.... it would be one out of 40 and she may not remember it :)

Aw. This is so sweet. Thank you for sharing this. 🎈

I’ve done similar with my wife when we first moved in together. The first time I had to be away for a few days for work, I sprayed my pillow and hers with a bit of Polo Double Black, which was what I would always wear when we first met. As far as bringing back loved ones, I keep a bottle of Brut aftershave around since that was my Grandfather’s go to. I swear I can smell it around the house sometimes, and it’s super comforting.

When my son was a toddler, I put a few drops of lavender essential oil in a small spray bottle with water and I told him it was "monster repellant." He's a big seven-year-old now but still likes a spritz of lavender pillow spray at bedtime.

What is a DD10? I looked it up and found mostly automotive related stuff.

MossyRock0817

Darling/Dear Daughter 10 years old. DS. Is son. DH husband etc. when you go on sites or forums with parent/child topics these are the acronyms they use.

hi_im_beeb

Thank you! I’ve never actually come across these before.

MossyRock0817

Well the fact that you dont know means that you aint knee deep into parenting, and I envy you sir. 😆😆😆. Its for the birds!!! 😭

On the contrary, I have 9month old boy/girl twins and a 5 year old. I have fully embraced the Dad life. In fact, I’ve just been made to purchase a wonderfold, which is basically a pack and play on wheels, roughly the size of a smart car. It’s an absolute abomination, despite the unmatchable storage space. 🤣🤣 My s/o does all the parenting forum stuff haha. The only internet browsing I do is this sub basically, so I’ve never really come across the term.

You ever seen this? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIjSdEdKelE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIjSdEdKelE) dead laughing and I don't even have twins.

hi_im_beeb

I have now “No. Harper” *points to self*

MossyRock0817

Ya if you were to ask her what DD10 was, she'd answer you with the quickness. I recommend [https://www.scarymommy.com/](https://www.scarymommy.com/) for some lite dad reading. It's real talk parenting like "I really hate this shit" kind of stuff...because we all know, how hard it is, but folks really don't like to talk about it. Congrats on the twins!

hi_im_beeb

Thanks my dude! Twins are freakishly cool. Like they’ll sleep in identical positions in the same corner of their cribs, and both have the same leg hanging out of their cribs. Stuff like that. People joke about it, but I feel like there’s gotta be some sort of psychic bond shared brain thing or something twins have.

Aw so sweet to witness!!!
